To shine new light on the conversation about homelessness and home instability in The District by providing a platform for our homeless neighbors to tell their stories through photography.
Founded in 2014, District Displaced is a photography outreach project revealing that there is more to being homeless than simply not having a home. District Displaced provides contributors with film cameras and other resources, empowering them to document and share their experiences through photography, fostering a refreshed dialogue and new perspective on homelessness among all residents and visitors in The District.
